Wanda Ethel (Dale) Kibble, daughter of James William and Iva Mode (Whitaker) Dale, was born on November 16, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, four brothers, William Curtis, Ralph, Billy & Dean, and one sister, Edytha Beck.
When Wanda was 13 years of age, she left home to work and live with Frank and Bertie Summers on their farm. In 1942 she married John Robert Kibble in Columbus, Mississippi. Robert Gregory was born to them in May 1943. In 1945 when Bob returned home from the war overseas, they went to Los Angeles, California to make their homes. They later moved from Lemon Grove, then to El Centro in the Imperial Valley in 1948. Larry Franklin and Susan Elizabeth were born to them in 1948 & 1956. Wanda was a Sunday school teacher for 15 years, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. In 1966 they returned to Milan to make their homes, except for Greg who is still in Calif. Wanda worked in the Leewood Nursing Homes for 4 years and Banquet Foods for 3 years. She left there to help in the Kibble Real Estate office for Bob. Wanda loved music and to dance. She sang in the church choir. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver and loved her grandchildren, Yvette (Kibble) O’Keefe, Carly (Kibble) Lancaster & Jesse Kibble; Jennifer (Douglas) Dugan & Jeremy Douglas. Her great grandchildren, Chase & Devin O’Keefe, Brooke & Brody Lancaster, Riley Kibble & Caden Kibble, Elijah and Jonah Dickel, Eva and James Dugan. 3 Step children: Greg Chapman, Todd Chapman & Susan Nolan; and several step grandchildren.
Wanda leaves her children Greg, Larry & Susan and a host of grand & great grand children, cousins, nephews, & wives. Wanda was baptized in 1944 in the First Baptist Church in Milan.
There will be no visitation or services. Cremation to follow, then burial at a later date in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
