Thelma A. Reece
Thelma Reece passed on to be with the Lord on February 14, 2018. We were blessed to have her with us for 100 years!
Thelma was born in Green City, MO on December 31, 1917 to Eldon Earl and Flora Belle Miller. On March 24, 1940 she married John E. Reece, Jr. She was a teacher at the Oak Grove country school house.
Thelma & John loved their family dearly and raised two sons and a daughter; Ronald Edward Reece and wife Mary of Battle Ground, IN; David Miller Reece and wife Donna of Gillette, WY; and Roberta (Reece) Witt and husband Raymond of Hanover Park, IL.
Thelma & John also loved their grandchildren and great grandchildren. The grandchildren are Brent Reece and wife Tracy, Stephanie & Amy Reece, and Marlene and Christine Witt. The great grandchildren are John & Wrigley Reece.
Thelma use to say, “You can take the girl out of the country, but you cannot take the country out of the girl!” This is so true for her life. She loved to have vegetable and flower gardens. Even when she lived in the city she would find space in her backyard to grow vegetables and flowers.
Mom and Grandma, you will be in our hearts always.
