Loyce Jane Ford
Loyce Jane Ford, 75 years old, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Milan Health Care Center in Milan.
Loyce was born February 1, 1943 in Novinger, Missouri to Vern and Roxie (Sholley) Brundage. On November 6, 1960 in Lancaster, Missouri, she married Edward Ray Ford, he survives of the home.
Also surviving: One daughter, Teressa Shafer and husband Donovan of Green Castle, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brandon Ford, Faith Ford, and Shasta Venegas; one brother, Charles Brundage of Green Castle; several nieces and nephews including Kenny Hunt and wife Sherry, Todd Brundage and wife Joan, Lynn Jones and husband Kenny; several great nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Ted Hunt.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Danny Ford; one sister, Darlene Hunt; and a niece, Brenda Hunt.
Loyce grew up on a farm near Green Castle graduating from Novinger High School in 1960 and lived most of her life in the Green City area. Loyce worked a while in a medical office in Kirksville, after they were married she took care of her children. She later was an office manager for Dr. Gushleff and later Dr. Rex Lee. She then worked at the American Family Insurance office for Paul Judd. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Green City. Loyce enjoyed her home, cooking, and loved her grandchildren and family.
Funeral services for Loyce will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, east of Green City. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.
