William Keith Banner
William Keith Banner, 80 years old, formerly of Milan, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.
Keith was born December 24, 1937 in Pollock, Missouri to Eddie and Dorothy (Dennis) Banner. On February 21, 1976 in Milan, he married Dorothy E. (May) Banner, she survives him of the home. Also surviving: daughters, Janie Dunn of Chillicothe, and Michelle Shaw and husband Jimmie of Trenton; grandchildren, Destiny Silvers of Columbia and Colton Shaw and wife Lindsie of Trenton; Great grandson, Traygen Shaw; brothers, James Banner of Adrian, Missouri, and Ronnie Banner of Milan. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Cleta Shultz and Francis Spencer; and brothers, Lloyd Banner and Leonard Banner.
Keith was a graduate of Milan High School in 1955. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, graduating from Aviation School in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, he was a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. He was an auto mechanic and for 35 years, he worked for Marvin Smith at Milan Motors until retirement in 2000. Keith was a member of the American Legion Post #228. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars, but he mainly liked to visit.
Funeral services for Keith will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Asbury Cemetery.
