James Earl “Jim” Dunlap
James Earl “Jim” Dunlap, 72 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Jim was born August 5, 1945 in Greenville, Mississippi to Roy Earl and Anna Mary (Pipes) Dunlap.
Survivors include: two sons, James Bradley Dunlap of Milan and Donald Eugene Dunlap of Milan; one daughter, Johnna Christine “Chrissy” Dunlap-Frazier (Stacy Pyles) of Milan; a son-in-law, Scott Frazier of Milan; four grandchildren, Mia Christine Frazier, Brooklyn Renee Dunlap, James Robert Frazier, and William Chase Donavan Frazier; one brother, Chess Anderson Dunlap (Shirley) of Milan; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Dunlap) Taylor (Farrell) of Milan, and Linda Mae (Dunlap) Rogers of Milan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents and three brothers, Robert Chidley Dunlap, Dale Eugene Dunlap, and Gale Edward Dunlap.
Jim was born in Greenville, Mississippi then moved to Milan and graduated at Milan High School in 1965. He worked for Howard Bennett, then worked at Banquet Foods for more than 30 years. After retirement he replaced 911 signs, plowed and disc gardens. He enjoyed watching RFD channel and Discovery with his grandkids, attending his kids and grandkids sporting events and spending time with his friends and family. Another one of his favorite pastimes was raising and watching his goats. He spent his lifetime spreading joy and love! His life has impacted many people, ranging from ALL ages; his life was truly a labor of love!!
Funeral services for Jim will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM.
