                Elizabeth Isabell Fanning, 86 years old, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at North Kansas City Hospice House.

                Elizabeth was born October 14, 1932 in Owasco, Missouri to Charles and Oletha (McNurlin) Hale. In Kirksville, Missouri on November 16, 1949 she married James Edward Fanning, he preceded her in death on August 4, 1990.

                Survivors include: One daughter, Vivian (Michael) Hall of Milan; one son, James (Kathy) Fanning of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Joshua Hall (Rachael) of Milan and Clint Hall (Jessica) of Green City; great grandchildren, Tristian Hall, Kendra Hall, Cash Hall, Michael Hall, Garrett Hall, and Noah Hall; sister in laws, Judy Smith of Independence, Missouri and Carol Fanning of Milan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; a grandson, Christopher M. Hall; brothers, Keith Hall, J.C. Hale, Calvin Hale; a nephew that she raised, Keith Eugene Hall.

                Elizabeth lived most of her life in Sullivan County. She was a member of the Christ Community Church in Milan where herself and her friend Brenda Danielson were the food service committee, also held Bible study at her home in Milan, as well as the benevolent committee. Elizabeth worked as a nurse’s aid at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, later worked at ConAgra in Milan where she also served as a Union Stewardess for United Food Commercial Workers. She retired from ConAgra at the age of 62 then worked at Milan Health Care where she was a CNA. Elizabeth loved to sew, quilt, and crochet.

                Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at the Baker Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.

                Memorial contributions are suggested to the Baker Cemetery.
