Cheryll Rae Snelling
Cheryll Rae Snelling, 80 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Cheryll was born September 2, 1937 in Oelwein, Iowa to Dave Stinger and Alta Doris Yardley. In 1956 she married Larry Snelling, three daughters were born to this marriage. Survivors include: three daughters, Sebrena Gordon and companion Steve Gooch of Milan, Belinda Trenter of Milan, Paula Jefferson and Fiance Steve Wood of Milan; grandchildren, Robert and Lisa Trenter, Brian Trenter, Cegi Smith, Brandi Trenter, Roy Richardson, Bradley and Cindy Frazier, Heidi Hunsaker, Luke Hunsaker, and Shayla Gerlt; great grandchildren, Tadem Richardson, Kendra Sinclair, Taylor Trenter, Hailey Trenter, Kamy Trenter, Farah Trenter, Marcus Hunsaker, Gage Hanson, Drake Oxendale, Little Bradley Frazier, Brent Frazier, Alyssa Lester, Jaden Lester, and Kylen Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Robert Mattice.
Cheryll grew up in Iowa, then they moved to Boynton when her parents bought the store there. She graduated from Milan High School as Class Valedictorian, got married and raised three daughters. She later worked at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Housekeeping, and also at ConAgra for a few years. Cheryll enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She never met a stranger and she loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services for Cheryll will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Milan. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, at the church. A private burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, North of Milan. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements.
