Wendy Sue Livingston, 51 years old, of Independence, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Center Point Medical Center in Independence.
Wendy was born on October 13, 1966 in Clay County, Missouri and was adopted by Wendall and Helen J. (Wilson) Washam. She married Michael Cline and two children were born to this union, Jennie and Stephen. On April 6, 2002 she married Benjamin Carl Livingston who survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Helen Washam of Odessa, Missouri, her two children, Jennie Cline and Stephen Cline, three step children, Rhonda Livingston of Camdenton, Missouri, Amy Livingston of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jeff Livingston of Kirksville, Missouri, four step grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Van and Brooklyn, four brothers, Curtis Washam, Bruce Washam, Rick Washam, and Robbie Washam, several nieces and nephews.
Wendy grew up in Odessa, Missouri and graduated from the Odessa High School. She was employed as a nurse’s aid for a short time. After her first marriage ended Wendy spent many years struggling alone. She met her husband Ben at a 12 Step group and they spent the next 18 years supporting and loving each other.
She enjoyed reading and doing artwork with colored markers. Wendy found comfort in prayer and through the years had developed a close relationship with the Lord.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. A scheduled visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for expenses.
