Patricia Kay Norris Geosling

 

          Patricia Kay Norris “Pat” Geosling, 61 years old, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville, Missouri.

          Pat was born January 16, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, her parents Robert and Verba (Crooks) Norris. On August 13, 2000, she married Michael Geosling in Green City, he survives her of the home. Also surviving, two sons, Joseph Elliott Carter (Kendra) of Unionville, Wesley Edward Carter of Green City; two daughters, Marty Marie Carter (Shane Farnham) of Columbia, Missouri, and Kailee Renae Geosling (Kip Stephenson) of Milan; seven grandchildren, Chelsea and Kyler Burkhiser, Hunter Carter, Logan Carter, Jayden Farnham, Ryan Carter, and Conrad Carter; her father, Robert Norris (Jeanette Brown) of Georgia; two sisters,Kathy Mika (Paul) of Michigan, and Jean Garten(Randy) of Florida; half brother, Cliff Kelly (Diane) of Iowa; step brother, Rick Wright of Iowa; Step sister, Valerie Brush of Columbia.

          She was preceded in death by: her mother, Verba Norris; two brothers, Michael Norris and Robert (Bobbie) Norris; and a sister, Karen Norris.

Pat grew up in Unionville, graduating from Unionville High School in 1974. She then received her Bachelor’s of Psychology at Northeast Missouri State University. She worked at Preferred Family Health Care until retiring in 2014. She was a loving and wonderful wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. Pat wore her heart on her sleeve and was a friend for life. She was generous to a fault and would do anything for you. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, playing on the lake and boating. Pat loved antiquing and finding treasures; enjoyed listening to our stories and had the most contagious laugh. She enjoyed taking pictures of her family and always had a camera in her hands. Pat shared her passion of making crafts and pretties with her grandkids who she loved more than the world. She was our anchor and we knew she would be there for us no matter what.  

Funeral services for Pat will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. Burial will follow at Green City Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Green City Cemetery.
