Elton Keith Yardley

 

            Elton Keith Yardley,83, of Green City, Missouri passed away May 9, 2017 at the University Of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. 

            Keith was born August 3, 1933 to James and Emma (Schaefer) Yardley in Pollock, Missouri.  On November 28, 1958 he married Deloris M. Sinclair and she preceded him in death on December 7, 2008.  Also preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Brian Yardley in 2014, his brothers, Kelly Yardley, Jack Yardley, Forrest Yardley, “Dutch” Yardley and Grover Yardley, two sisters, Marette Henness and Olive Ford.

            He was survived by one sister, Bonnie Brosnan of Redwood City, California, and many nieces and nephews.

            Keith lived most of his life in Sullivan County.  He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan.  After returning home he worked as a carpenter and also farmed.  He was employed with the Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Company and retired as a central office repairman.

             Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

            Graveside services are 11:30 A.M., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Elmwood Cemetery, north of Milan.  Officiating will be William Yardley. A scheduled visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elmwood Cemetery.
